AMIAR

How to start

Start with a pilot

A few devices, at the points that cost you the most, to validate communication on your own network.

Because AMIAR meters don't need to be clustered, the pilot can run anywhere in your area: the most remote customer, the repeat defaulter or the spot without cellular coverage.

The process

From the first conversation to a working network

Plug & play end to end: meters are installed like a conventional one and show up on the platform automatically.

Step 1

We get to know your network

A meeting to learn what you want to solve and what infrastructure you have.

  • Urban network, rural or both?
  • Are there towers or high points available?
  • What connectivity is there: LAN, Wi-Fi or 4G?

Step 2

Proof of concept

Together we define how many meters, of what type, and how many gateways. A typical pilot is two meters with an outdoor antenna and one or two gateways.

  • Supply and deployment of the AMIAR meters
  • Supply and deployment of the gateways
  • CLOUD AMIAR access and configuration
  • Technical assistance for commissioning and testing
  • Engineering for pilot supervision and support

Step 3

Rollout

Once communication is validated, meters are added where they save the most: new customers, end-of-life replacements, repeat defaulters and hard-to-reach customers.

No network redesignEach new meter extends the coverage of the previous ones.

Step 4

Operation with CLOUD AMIAR

Readings, disconnects, reconnects, alerts and exports from the platform, at no cost, with technical support from our team.

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

How many devices do I need for a pilot?

What gets validated is long-range Mesh communication: two meters with an outdoor antenna and one or two gateways are enough. It can be adjusted to what you want to demonstrate.

Where should the pilot meters be installed?

Where they save the most: at the most remote or hard-to-reach customers, repeat defaulters, new customers, or meters that are expiring and have to be replaced anyway.

Do the meters need to be configured?

No. They're plug & play: they're installed like a conventional meter, join the network on their own and show up on the platform.

Does the platform cost anything?

No. CLOUD AMIAR is included with the meters, with no licenses or monthly fees.

What happens if the gateway loses its Internet connection?

Meters store 90 days of load profile in memory. And if there's another gateway with Internet on the network, it picks up the messages automatically.
